A Sunny South London Courtyard Garden

The owner of this small city courtyard garden wanted colour and year-round greenery. With large bi-fold doors opening up the living area to the garden, and a tall slatted perimeter fence, they wanted year round interest with zero building work. Working with the existing raised bed, and using a mix of perennials and annuals, I created this container garden, making use of the tall fences with mounted troughs, and large containers for herbs and roses.

The result is a Mediterranean feeling terrace garden which can be added to with more containers over time, and brings in colour and wildlife year round.
